Spiritual Life Committee

About the Spiritual Life Committee:

Our faith and understanding of who we are arises from our personal experience and encounter with Jesus Christ.  The spiritual life committee is responsible for planning programs and opportunities that draw from the rich tradition of Catholic spirituality and encourage our students to reflect more deeply on their encounter of Christ in their life.

Some of these activities include our weekly prayer opportunities such as Eucharistic Adoration and Taize Prayer.  They also sponsor small groups such as Meeting Christ in Prayer or small faith groups.

About Our Spiritual Life Coordinators

   Co-chair, Mary Kim, sk949@cornell.edu

   Co-chair, Shea Hasenauer, sth48@cornell.edu

Shea came to Ithaca by way of the Cornell Varsity wrestling program, but the need for a second shoulder surgery ended that journey. He thanks his parents and two younger siblings for their roles in his development. Shea is excited about being a spiritual life co-chair for the Cornell Catholic Community, and hopes to encourage and invite people to partake in the privilege of falling in love with God through the Holy Rosary and adoration of the Most Blessed Sacrament. As with all disciples of Jesus, in his life, Shea hopes to do whatever He tells him.
